Ian is a seasoned professional in human resources with 8 years of executive leadership experience in government and First Nation Organizations. His recent roles were as the Chief Human Resources Officer for Westbank First Nation and Director of Human Resources for the Yukon Government. He became a Certified Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) in 2015 and is a lifelong learner. Ian has experience leading all areas of human resources and became an expert in harassment investigations, recruiting and compensation. There is nothing Ian hasn’t seen and is confident managing any human resources problem. He has worked in unionized and nonunionized organizations and understands how to lead changes in both. As a founding partner of FlexWork Consulting, Ian saw the need for experienced consultants in the market and he is excited to help your organization become more efficient and productive.
Tom is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) with over 10 years of leadership and management experience. He started his career in public accounting in Nunavut, practicing audit and managerial engagements throughout the Territory. In 2018, he brought his knowledge and skills to the Government of Nunavut, where he became the Territorial Director of Medical Affairs. In this role, he was responsible for overseeing his team to recruit, contract and allocate all physicians that worked in the Territory. As the director of the division, Tom was the lead caretaker of the division’s 30M+ budget and was responsible for budget forecasting and oversight as well as all year-end procedures. Tom’s many years of experience in finance and leadership makes him well equipped to assist your organization with its financial needs.
